This year, the Hannover Trade Fair opened its doors from the 19th to 23rd of April 2010 under the motto: 'More efficient – More innovative – More sustainable', and presented innovations, developments and technologies, as well as new materials from the world of industry. For the first time, Organic Electronics enjoyed its own dedicated stand in Hall 2. The OLAB  network was pleased to be  present amongst more than 4 500 exhibitors.

The fair stand resided in the Research & Technology Exhibition Hall. Here, research results and future industrial developmental trends focusing on technology transfer between the sciences and the economy were introduced.

The Topic-Stand was  designed with the support of Spitzencluster Forum Organic Electronics, the Fraunhofer-Institute for Applied Polymer Research (Fraunhofer IAP) and the OLED – network, OLAB.

The OLAB network, supported by BMWi in line with the Central Innovation Programme for Medium businesses, developed for the first time prototypes for applications in image processing, security technology, medicine and microscopy.

With the motto “Lighting the future” the Topic-Stand presented itself completely in green, and offered the visitors a platform for information and exchange.

This appearance was very much a taste of things to come, specifically the planned comprehensive trade stand for Organic Electronic at the Hannover Trade Fair in 2011. As a forward-looking topic for energy-efficient lighting, the potential of this future technology, as well as its application options in various domains of production, shall then be further demonstrated to an interbranch public, together with OLED  producers - the Innovation Lab and the Cluster OES.
